Mind, Body, Money

Here’s my theory.

There are 3 pillars to support your success and happiness.

Mind

You’ve gotta make sure it’s well exercised and filled with positive content.

It will quite literally serve you or destroy you.

Your thoughts (whether good or bad) will manifest into success or sabotage.

It’s tough to crack at first (if you’re not naturally someone that has always had high self esteem and confidence – like me).

I do this by surrounding myself with positive, goal minded people, reading inspirational and educational books, listening to success driven podcasts and watching motivating films, sporting events or youtube videos – DAILY!!

Body

I never used to properly look after my body.

I mean I used to go for a couple of runs each week – but this wasn’t properly taking care of myself. It was more of a debit and credit balancing act. If I go out and drink 5 pints of stella on a Saturday at 250 calories per pint then I need to run and burn off at least 1250 calories the next day.

I used to get ill on a regular basis and in particular suffered with a chronic undiagnosed stomach condition for over 18 years.

Since retraining as a Personal Trainer I really look after myself.

I eat really good quality foods, have ditched the refined sugar stuff in my diet, only eat healthy carbs and have plenty of veggies and proteins.

I work out at least 5 times each week and 4 of those sessions are pre planned weight sessions.

This has resulted in my body fat dropping by 15% and me hardly ever getting ill now.

You HAVE to take care of your body, especially as you get older.

If you don’t have your health, then it doesn’t matter how much money you have in the bank – you won’t be able to enjoy it.

money

This may come across as slightly controversial, but there is quite a bit that needs to be covered in this section.

It’s not just about how much you earn.

I believe it’s how you earn it that’s important.

If you are earning money by doing something that you absolutely love – to the point that it doesn’t really feel like proper work, then everything just feels different.

When I was working in Financial Services, I was earning a decent living but it was shite. I had to put up with some real wankers and the only reason that I did for so long was for the pay check at the end of the month. The thing is it felt like hard work and felt like a battle.

The difference when you’re doing something that you love and are genuinely adding lots of value to people’s lives in a way that is congruent with who you are – money just seems to flow. There is no resistance.

I’m not one of these self help dudes that says that money isn’t important…..

It definitely is,

BUT not for money’s sake.

It’s important for what it then allows you to do.

Money for us now has allowed me to book a month in a villa in Spain overlooking the sea during the summer holidays of 2015 with Alex and the kids.

It’s allowing me to send my son to a Real Madrid soccer training school.

It allows me to save every month.

It is going to allow me to send my kids to private school when they get to secondary school age.

It allows me to hire people to do the things in my business that I don’t want to do – so that I then have more time to spend with my family.

It allows me to sponsor and manage my son’s football team .

It provides freedom.

Summary:

I just want to make one thing clear. I am by no means the finished product. I have such a long way to go. But you gotta enjoy the journey along the way and reward yourself.

I want to my fitness franchise to be all over the UK and to be changing ladies lives for the better.

I want this business to be having a massive impact on guys that are a bit like me. Back in 2012 I was lost. I was desperate and life was really really shit!! No money, not getting on with my wife Alex and suffering with constant anxiety about who I was and what I was meant to be doing.

Once I got these 3 pillars in alignment with each other – LIFE has taken off. I genuinely feel grateful for this realisation and now that I have the basics in place I know that my potential is limitless.

It would be completely wrong of me to not share this wisdom and experience with other guys that are where I was in 2012.

Hit me up…..
